Arrival and Welcome Drinks by the Dam
The guests arrived in the late afternoon, greeted by the warm, golden hues of the setting sun reflecting off the dam. They started their adventure with a refreshing welcome drink, setting the tone for an afternoon filled with excitement and discovery. After soaking in the serene atmosphere by the dam, the guests embarked on an hour-long game drive that promised to showcase the natural beauty and diverse wildlife of our game farm.
An Authentic Game Drive Experience
Our game drives at Kunkura Nature Reserve are known for their authentic safari experience, traversing up and down hills and valleys across an expansive landscape of veld and bush. The game farm is home to a plethora of plains game animals. Guests on this drive were fortunate to spot some of our most popular inhabitants, including Impala bucks, blue wildebeests, zebras, and majestic giraffes, among many other species.
Guided by our experienced game ranger, the guests were educated on the various animals and bird species spotted along the way. This educational component adds depth to the game drive, making it more than just a visual experience but an opportunity to connect with nature and learn about the local ecosystem.
After the game drive, the group returned to the picturesque dam lapa, where a handcrafted picnic awaited them. The setup, meticulously prepared by our team, featured an inviting selection of cold and refreshing drinks alongside a variety of snacks. From cheese boards and topped bruschetta to fresh wraps, biltong, popcorn, and sweet treats, there was something for everyone to enjoy.
The host of the group was pleasantly surprised by the thoughtful arrangement and attention to detail, adding an extra layer of delight to the day’s experience.
